Other Apps

Post by jdhhauser » Fri Feb 26, 2010 11:58 pm

How are the other apps (hockey, bowling, soccer, football) coming along?

Bowling is near complete --- just need to add reporting, but with baseball season starting back up for youth, that is currently taking precedence.

Hockey we have a basic shell created.

Soccer and football will be up after that.

Are iPad apps being developed at the same time as iPhone or are they going to be a little behind? I would love to see football this fall on the iPad and Basketball this winter on the iPad.

We do not have a hard rule on this... we build them to address what we see as the customer demand based on requests (both in this forum and via email). We would love to have all sports on all platforms, but we have to prioritize our time based on the resources we have available. Thank you for your feedback.

Bowling was "almost done" 4 months ago.

What's it's status?

I'm not necesarily wanting the bowling, I just want to have the football app ready efore next season.

We put the development of other sports on the backburner when we started talking with ESPN. We will be reviving the other sports as soon as we get a chance. Youth baseball is starting to wind down a bit (though we have a few major things we are still working on for baseball for this season), and we will be able to get back to other sports soon.

Is Volleyball one of the future sports you are looking at? I am not sure of the market size but I just started looking at how to keep stats for my daughters HS team so I can load them in MaxPreps for college recruiting. The rules don't seem too complicated but there seems to be a lot of assists to track.

Yes, volleyball is on our list of sports we would like to create an iScore app for.

Now that little league baseball is almost completely over, what do you think the chances of seeing a football app before this upcoming season are?

We are working on football now, and hope to have it out around first week of September.
