After Blocked Shot, Can Score points w/o selecting a player#

Potential issue,

After a blocked shot ( player #X > Shot> Blocked by> player #y).
i can select the floor and activate "shot choice screen" without first selecting a player number. (Normally the floor is not active until a player number is selected). In this case i can score points, without first choosing who, (review of the play by play and i see it assumes it was the original shooter "player X" in this example)...

. Is this by design or accident?
