The external video is not centered and there is a blue line on the left side of the screen? Is there a setting or option for that. I have tried two different cables with the same result.

This sounds like it may be a monitor adjustment setting to center the video. Many monitors will auto-center an image, but is it possible your monitor has a manual setting? We would not expect the cable to have an effect --- there is only one cable that Apple has for iPad -> VGA support. The monitors we have tested with have all auto-centered when connected, and we do not see any "blue line". Maybe if you tell us the brand / model # of the monitor you are attaching to, we can find some technical information about that monitor.

It is actually connected to a TV I will look for the auto center adjustment for it. Thanks.
