How to enter "Tie Up"?

Post by OhioTex » Wed Dec 23, 2009 7:01 pm

How do you record a Jump ball "tie up"?

... then how to denote who is involved?
.. and if it resulted in an "out of bounds" or "change of possession"?

also, is there a "Possesion Arrow" (possible feature enhancement)?

Have we gotten an answer to this question?

We have this on our list for enhancements, but do not have a solution yet. Will come very soon.

Manual Possession Arrow, as a simple "optional" 'manual toggle Arrow' seems relatively easy option to add ... automated logic on tie up and possesion may take some time but a manual toggle seems doable sooner rather than later...

If you had an automatic jump ball rather than manual, you'd have to have an option for an NBA style jump ball where the two that were tied up actually tip-off.

Any update on when tie up will be an available option?

We still have it on the enhancement list, but have been focusing on simplifying the scorekeeping for things that generate actual stats.

I second this feature. Especially having the possession arrow, as at our level--junior high, we regularly run into possession arrow disputes, because the kids running the score table don't change the arrow at the right times.

Currently, I log it as a turnover if possession changes hands, but that's not right statistically.

We still have this feature on our list. It is not a high priority since there is not a stat for tracking these things, and we are trying to focus more on scorekeeping than referee-ing, but we see there is some interest from our users so will include it in our list for prioritization.

I'm assuming this enhancement never got added. I too was looking for a possession arrow function (manual would have been good enough) and do not see it. I understand the concentration on the stats, but the possession arrow is an important part of the game that any scorekeeper would want to keep track of. Any update on when we might see it? Or is it in the current version and I'm just not seeing it?
