There are actually two questions here... the first is why are we stopping the clock during subs? The reason for this is that the rules for most basketball leagues state that subs can only come in during a dead ball, so the clock would be stopped while subs are occuring.

The second implied question here is does iScore support a "running clock" league where the clock never stops? This is something that is on our enhancement list for a future update.

We will be changing the subs to not stop the clocks in an upcoming release because you can always stop the clock manually, or it may have been stopped already if Free Throws are taking place for example, and there are times when you may have missed a sub and want to put him in without the clock stopping.
