Add Seasons Functionality

Post by jdhhauser » Sat Aug 21, 2010 8:07 am

Add an option to specify what season a game is in. That way on the game management screen, it isn't completely cluttered with a bunch of different games from different teams from different seasons.=

ie: High School Varsity 2010, High School JV 2010, NBA 2010, High School Varsity 2009, etc

You can use Leagues for this functionality. Go to League Manager and create a league called "High School Varsity 2010", and assign the teams / games that belong to that league. Do the same for your other "seasons". Then you can go to League Manager and turn on only the league you want to view.

One thing I'd like to see is being able to define the games that are "pre-season" and "season" or league games. This could have an effect on the Team Stats calculated for a particular season (pre-season or regular).

Part of this would be breaking up the Team stats to show season averages in addition to totals--as I'd much rather see regular season averages not including the pre-season games (between teams in and out of our league).

You can do this now using Leagues. Think of leagues more as a "group", and you can use them for anything you would like. See this link in the iScore Baseball forum on league usage --- the same concepts apply to iScore Basketball as well:

This is affect to the team statistics are calculated for a particular season. This section will break the team statistics to the show average total next season because i prefer to look at the average regular season does not include pre-season game.

Welcome to the board.

Using leagues you can compartmentalize any group of games you wish. I use leagues to separate stats for pre season, regular season and post season.
