Bluetooth Data Sharing Not Working

Post by showtime25 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 6:49 pm

I used the Bluetooth data sharing feature last season to transfer data between multiple iPads and iPhones. It worked fine. It is not working thus far this season. After I connect, nothing happens. Is there something I'm missing?

Apples blue tooth implementation can be hit or miss between different generation of devices

I use data transfer from web database .works well.

I like to share only certain games. Keep iPads clean of all random stuff, use iPhone to store everything, scrimmages and scouting included. Is there a way to do that through the web?

Yes.. Assuming you have access to internet

there is a specific FAQ on this topic ("data sharing") at http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... share.php)

But in a nut shell

After every game scored you should "Option > Export" from the device that you use to score games (eg iPads) to 'update' the iScore servers w your database .. You can then pull down the game to your master device (eg iPhone) that you use to consolidate and store everything ...from iPhone using option > data sharing > get from web database. (Enter device ID and password from iPad that game scored on). After pulling in game data to your master device ( iPhone) remember to "option > export" from your iPhone to update the iScore web servers so you have a backup of your master device.

For Folks who use multiple devices like you describe , I also recommend "option > registering" all your devices to a single master email address. This links all your devices and gives you additional database management options from the Admin Web Site (my.iscorecentral.com) which you can access with the device Id or registered email address.

I am having the same Bluetooth issue between my iPad and iPhone that worked fine last year. After accepting connection it does nothing. Too bad since that was ez. I will try web database but so far I do not see the games I recorded on my iPad.

Also I do not see a registering option. Both iPad and iPhone have v2.998

BTW Bluetooth data transfer on iscore baseball works fine.

Apple messed something up with bluetooth with their iOS7 release that makes it very inconsistent. You can still use Data Sharing as described in the previous link. You can register by following instructions here:
