Moving team to another admin site and retain data

Post by garrett.gman » Thu Nov 01, 2012 7:25 pm

Is there a way to move teams from one admin website to another and have the teams retain all their data?

You can use Data Sharing as described here:

The link you posted talks about mapping but it doesn't say anything about how to map.

When you are doing the data sharing, one of the steps on screen is mapping. The screen allows you to choose whether to create new players or map to existing players when new players are encountered.

That is helpful thank you. I know there's a tutorial on how to run the app on the iPad but is there a tutorial on how to run the websites anywhere? The app has a simply UI but the website is hard to figure out how it works and thinks.

Actually that didn't really help. It talks about how to map data between devices but not between websites. I have two different leagues, JV & Varsity, each with its own website.
I accidentally scored some games on the Varsity site that need to move over to the JV site. How do I move the games, teams and stats for those teams over to the JV site instead of the Varsity site?

If you scored a game for the wrong team, that can not be changed. You can transfer games between devices, but if you have Team A and Team B, and score one of Team B's games as Team A, there is not a way to change that without re-scoring the game.

I didn't score the game for the wrong team. I scored the game under the right team but for some reason the team was mapped to the wrong league admin website. Is there a way to change which website a team is mapped to and still retain the data for that team?

An iScore Team Website is tied to a team on your device. If you have two iScore Team Websites (Varsity and JV), then any game scored for the Varsity team would go to the Team Website that is associated with the Varsity team, and any game scored for the JV team would go to the Team Website that is associated with the JV team.

If you need to change which team a Team Website is associated with, you can follow the instructions at this URL:
