Combining Stats from Two Devices

Post by garrett.gman » Tue Aug 28, 2012 1:12 pm

I am managing a league and plan to use iScore to track stats. We have tried keeping stats for both teams with one iPad but there is just too much going on to keep track of it all with one device. We have resorted to using two devices. One device per team; one keeps track of all home team stats and the other keeps track of the away team stats. This has worked out to be much smoother and less stats are missed. The problem we have is uploading the stats. Since they are recorded as two separate games I haven't been able to find a way to upload them as if they were the same game. Is there such a function for iScore? If not could there be a way to develop the app to accomodate combining games?

There is not a way to combine two games into a single game. You can use Data Sharing to transfer the games between devices, but it will not combine the games into a single game.

We have many thousands of people scoring complete games from a single device. Is it possible with a little practice, you would be able to have your scorekeeper do that as well? Maybe if you have two people available, one could be a "spotter", and one could be recording the stats in iScore. This would give you a single game instead of having two people running iScore for the same game.
