Editing shots

Post by rjsbball25 » Thu Jan 12, 2012 9:56 am

How do I go about editing shots? I just started using the app and in the first game...and in the first quarter I have the shots really off...I finally got the hang of how to place the player in the right spot for the remainder of the game, but I need to go back and correct the proper location for each shot in the 1st quarter...how do I do that in the easiest and most efficient manner?

First make sure you are using v2.90 or newer. Next, go to Team Manager, select the game, select Play by Play, and there are Edit buttons next to each play. You can use this to change the shot location (or anything about the play).

currently I'm using the iPhone for this...does this still apply? it just shows a blank court with all the options at the bottom...what would be nice is (when editing a shot)...to see the player positioned where I put him and then be able to move him to the proper position...it doesn't seem to work like that, correct? thanks!

It applies on the iPhone as well. You can re-enter the shot (including positioning the player) on that edit screen. You would just tap the player, tap the location of the shot, and tap Made or Missed.

The new edit feature is fantastic. One minor request is to be able to pick the type of turnover.

I tried to edit the game based on these instructions, I went to edit a shot from a 2-pointer to a 3-pointer and it totally changed the game. It happened in third quarter with score of 64-23. After the edit, it shows the score as 3-0 and some of the score is negative in the box score. Any ideas what's up?

I had the same issue when entering a game today. It didn't affect the players' individual stats but the line score ended up with negative numbers.
