Team fouls

Post by crusader1311 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 1:05 am

In high school basketball in Illinois, the fouls only reset at half time but for some reason the fouls on the app reset after each quarter. Is there any way I can fix this? Also on the next update you should automatically remove players once they reach the personal/technical foul limit and timeouts, full/30 sec., should be displayed under the team name. You could use the small boxes like they use on espn.

We have added a setting for "Reset Team Fouls at" and you can select quarter or half in the next release. This is set when you are creating a new game in the Options screen.

We don't remove players automatically because different leagues have different rules on when players are removed from a game, and we want to make sure any league's rules can be followed. In general, we do not enforce league specific rules, but allow you to score within whatever your league's rules are.

We will add tracking of remaining timeouts to our enhancement list. It is another one that would be different from league to league, but we can have settings for it, and can see how it is useful information for scorekeepers to know how many timeouts remain. Thank you.

Do you know if the release will be during this season?

We will be submitting to Apple in the next couple of days (possibly as soon as tonight), and then it is just however long Apple takes to approve the update. They have generally taken around 7 days, but with Thanksgiving week, we don't know how that will effect their approval process.
