The easiest way to display earned/unearned runs would be to FULLY color the diamond for earned runs und HALF color the diamond for unearned runs.

R1 + R2, 0 Out, the next batter hits a hard ground ball to the the shortstop who steps on the 2nd Base to retire R1 and then trows the ball to the 1st Baseman to retire the Batter in a double play.
