Re: "League" usage?

another question I didn't see covered in this thread: My DD is on her MS feeder team (e.g. League: FL) and on a travel team (e.g. League: TL). I'm successfully using the League feature to keep stats reported separately. I know that later in the fall many of the girls from FL opponents that I have st...

Re: "League" usage?

but do not delete players, if you want to hide them, assign them to a 'other players league' (empahsis, best to not delete players or teams or games, better to hide them in leagues) Before I learned that you could put players in the lineup for an individual game without having to put them on the te...

Re: Stat question - Calculating OBP

I see the point (although I think "full time bunting" is a losing proposition as you move up the competition levels, so it's somewhat of a moot point), and I'd be willing to accept it if the world would accept the change I think needs to be made to the OBP calculation. number of times reaching base ...

Re: Stat question - Calculating OBP

The calculation FTM shows accomplishes what you said. Sac flays 'hurt' OBP. The SF term is in the divisor but not the dividend. This means that more sac flys makes OBP lower. Sac bunts don't help OBP or hurt it. The sac bunt PA basically doesn't exist in the OBP calculation. Yeah, I understood that...

Re: Strange Fly Out

For scoring purposes, if it hits the ground and results in an out, then it is a "groundout". E.g. in my DD's softball game last night we had the same play happen twice. The batter hit a hard line drive to right field, the RF was playing shallow, fielded the ball on one hop, and threw the batter-runn...

Re: Print My Team Roster as a Lineup Card

BTW, +1 on the "email" option, especially since I can send email to my printer and it will print it (but, then, you would also need to keep a list of frequently used email addrs so I could switch with a dropdown instead of having to retype) And while a printed roster sheet would make it easier to re...

It would take an extra hour to get away from games cause you would have to stand around printing off Player Cards for every family so that they could go back to the parking lot and compare notes and second guess all your decisions. :(

Re: foul tip / bunt foul 3rd strike / bunt attempts

Thanks. will have to start trying the comment feature. It's probably also the solution to keeping track of when my switch hitters are slapping lefty or swinging away righty.

Re: Stat question - Calculating OBP

I don't see why Sac Bunt PA's should count against someone's OBP? In a Sac Bunt situation you are intentionally giving yourself up to advance a runner. You are not attempting to get on base. Sac Fly's are tolerable by-products of attempting to get on base, so while they do help the team, it is still...
