Re: California Overtime

There is no way to add an out. However, after two outs, select, 'Misc | End Inning'. This is the normal procedure for handling this situation.

Re: HOW TO SCORE: Batter Interference

'In Play' , 'Fielder's Choice', Select where the ball went, then when it asks what happened with the batter, select 'Out' at the the top. Then 'Hit by Ball'. It will ask who was the closest fielder. That fielder is the one credited with the put out. So select the catcher in this case. Offensive inte...

Re: Error or Hit...

I agree with OhioTex. From your description, there is no physical misplay of the ball. This is a hit all the way. A fielder can sit back and wait and wait and wait for a very slow roller to reach them and it is still a hit.

Re: How to score hit by batted ball?

Yes you scored it correctly. The batter is given a fielder's choice by rule. The closest fielder to the runner is credited with a put out.

Re: No pitch - intentional walk

To walk a batter without pitches, just tap 'In Play' and then 'Intentional Walk'. The batter will be placed on first base (and forced runners moved appropriately) and no pitches will be added to the pitcher's pitch count. If you want to walk a batter with the pitches counting, you can just tap 'In p...

Re: Softball scoring

This would be scored as a triple. If the runners on first and second score, then the batter would also get 2 RBIs. This sounds straight-forward. Were there any complicating factors?

Re: How do I put a courtesy runner in?

Just tap on the runner and you will get a list of players on the roster. Select one of them and that player will replace the runner.

Re: How would you score?

For a more precise interpretation, MLB Rules 9.12.a.3
(a) The official scorer shall charge an error against any fielder:

(3)
  • when such fielder catches a thrown ball or a ground ball
in time to put out the batter-runner and fails to tag first
    base or the batter-runner;

Re: How would you score?

Given your description, it is an error. Not having your foot on the bag is a physical misplay. You could call it a mental error, but it was the physical act of putting the foot down off the bag which makes it an error. E3.

Re: Dead Ball / Umpire

The umpire is in the infield between 2nd and 3rd not out in the outfield grass / edge of infield. It’s my understanding if it hits the umpire in that field location it’s a live ball. However if it hits umpire in the infield it’s a dead ball - batter gets a hit and runners advance one base. Is that ...
