Re: Is this bunt scored a hit, Sac, or FC?

Long Story (below) made short: Sacrifice :) Have a nice day!! NCAA Fastpitch Scoring Rules: 14.2.28 Sacrifice: Credit given to a batter who, with fewer than two outs, advances one or more base runners by bunting and is called out at first base; would have been called out had no error occurred; or is...

Re: Mound Visit

Not the case in softball. You can make up to 4 trips to the mound without replacing a pitcher before you are required to replace a pitcher.
2 trips in first inning. 1 trip in 2nd to replace pitcher (does not count). 1 trip in 4th. 1 trip in 5th (now required to replace pitcher)

Re: League Listing out of Sync on Team Website

@OhioTex One would think after 4 years that would have been the first thing I checked. But Nooooooo. :) Would have been easy to find too. They are the only two leagues this team was not in - jumped right out. See what happens when you take a month off. They say the first two things to go when you ge...

League Listing out of Sync on Team Website

From the "Games" page, Leagues 2013 16's & Fall Classic 2013 do not appear in the list of selectable leagues. However, they do appear in the list of leagues from the "Settings" page. I can force the one of the two leagues above by making it the default in the "Settings" page, but it does not show in...

Re: Stat question - Calculating OBP

Sorry. Been busy with the high school season. @OhioTex - you are correct. The wording of the OBP has been clarified in the 2012-2013 version of the rules. The calculation that I provided was defined with "sacrifices" going back to 2008 (oldest copy I have). I have not found anything explaining the c...

Re: Why Doesn't Courtesy Runner Show on Score Sheet?

The courtesy runner is represented by a light blue "C#" where # is the jersey number of the runner. The placement will be at base where the exchange of runners took place (1B, 2B, etc.)

Re: League/Game Association in API

That is the way I am doing it. Since there is no API that provides a list of leagues for a game you have to build your own xRef by fetching the games for each league. Obviously, there will some overlap (such as the "ALL" league and season leagues) but that is what you are trying to find anyway. My o...

Re: Stat question - Calculating OBP

Sacrifice bunts should be included in the Softball stats to be correct, but since 99% of applications don't most don't know that they should.

Re: XML Schema

You could do it that way, but that leaves your code vulnerable to changes to the XML. I use a little different approach. I put a flag on each event type (in the EVENTS table) that indicates the type of event and the event type determines which attributes I need to worry about (a single event type ma...
