There is a slight difference between baseball and softball. I beg to differ. Defensive Indifference is a situation when the defense is unconcerned about preventing a runner from advancing. Not what they prefer would happen. Fastpitch is a little different - but the spirit is the same. In Fastpitch Softball the runner can't leave until the pitch is thrown anyway, so that stat would have no relevance.
