Re: XML Schema
The DB Schema is going to depend on what you are using the data for. You can create a schema that is highly de-normalized which will give you the greatest flexibility in creating all kinds of customized reports. Mine is pretty simple in that I am only trying to get to specific additional stats. Even...

Re: XML Schema
You have a good start going here. A couple of things to keep in mind with the EVENT node: There can and usually is more than 1 event node. Event Nodes may have child nodes that indicate the defensive players involved in the play. One FIELDER node for each fielder involved in the play. If I remember ...

Re: XML Schema
I have been working with the gamedetail XML data for more than a year. If you need any specific questions answered I might be able to provide you with some information. Like Support has indicated, it is a complex dataset that you cannot simply import into a database - you will need to develop your o...

Re: Add Positions Played to ap
Using the game detail API I have been able to parse out all defense statistics by position (err, A, PO, etc.) But it is a lot of data to swim through. I have been working on a series of web services to supply this information, but my guess is that FTM will complete their efforts before I complete mi...

API Data Enhancement
Would you please consider adding the "Game Detail" information to the API results returned for games. It would be nice to get the Notes, location, etc. in the API results.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Pitches swinged for each batter
@thecatsfan - I challenge you to find another application that even comes close to what iScore offers. $10 app, $20 website, a free resource to more than a 1000 active users (4000+ total), free standard reports (in multiple spreadsheet formats), free APIs to extract and use the data anyway you want,...

Re: Pitches swinged for each batter
To ask that one application be everything to everyone is unrealistic. All of the information that is captured by iScore can be viewed, arranged, analyzed any way you want it. You just need to learn the API. Extract the data using the APIs provided and you have more than enough information. I for one...

Re: Game time and clock
The clock in the app works great for 98% of the situations I have run into. I've recently started using a countdown app. Easier to start & stop when needed. The clock in the iScore app is a good reference, but when you need the additional flexibility its nice to have the additional countdown as a ba...

Re: ball caught after runner interference.
Fastpitch Softball NCAA Rule 14.3 - Base Hit 14.3.12 If the official scorer judges the batter would have earned a base hit had runner interference not occurred. 14.7 - Fielder's Choice 14.7.1.5 When the base runner interferes with a batted ball and the official scorer judges that the batter would ha...
