Re: Lineup card / scorebook print

I'd rather get a clean lineup card in PDF format, much better than using an e-mailed copy, very tacky look in a dugout.

Lineup card / scorebook print

I would like to see an option where one could e-mail reports and the reports would be delivered via PDF, especially the lineup card.

Re: Figuring ERA with inconsistent number of innings

MARK -- Great question! I have never seen a team run-rule all of it's opponents in a single season. Sure you have stronger teams than others, however, in most cases, teams play out the full six innings and some coaches will actually tell their players to HOLD UP so they can get hitters their plate a...

Re: Revert to last inning

Unfortunately in this case you have to lose the stats anyway. If you revert to the last complete inning played, all stats beyond that inning are not recognized. That situation almost happened last weekend when UIC and Texas A&M had a 30-minute rain delay. Instead of calling the game, the game was su...

Re: Figuring ERA with inconsistent number of innings

PERSONAL OPINION TO TEAM MOM -- Your stats are not official. Your are basing stats on what you think rather than going by the rule. Please consider basing your pitchers stats on six innings as that is the scheduled number of innings. Your only cheating your own players with miscued numbers based on ...

Re: Figuring ERA with inconsistent number of innings

If you ask the Elias Sports Bureau, Major League Baseball Advanced Media or even S.T.A.T.S. Inc. they would concur with my statement that you base an ERA on the schedule number of innings, not the number you chose (in this case it would be four) because a team doesn't play all six. Also, keep in min...

Re: PINCH-HITTER

Also, FYI: If a league allows a team to bat everyone, all of the players on the field are assigned positions while the rest of the players who are batting but not fielding are considered as DESIGNATED PLAYERS (DP).

Re: Figuring ERA with inconsistent number of innings

You always base an ERA on the SCHEDULED NUMBER OF INNINGS. Even if you average four innings per-game, you would still calculate the ERA based on a six inning game.

Re: Two players earn an error on One play?

Good question! The second baseman would get the throwing error, the pitcher's slate is wiped clean. Had the ball rolled past the pitcher you would have had to make a decision as to if he would have put out the runner at first with ordinary effort. You have to also consider how deep or shallow he had...

Re: PINCH-HITTER

As an FYI: I should point out that I get paid to keep score for a living and have a pretty good understanding of Rule 10.00. When a new batter enters the game, they are considered as a pinch-hitter. When they enter the game defensively, they become a position player. EXAMPLE: Jones hits for Johnson....
