Re: Force outs and Fielders Choice

You are basically correct, but as far as the scoring is concerned, if the play is on any runner besides the batter, it is a fielder's choice for the batter. For example, in your situation #1 above, that is a force out on the runner at second, but it is an FC for the batter. In situation #4 above. th...

Re: Quick double plays

+1.

This has been requested many times before. I'm not sure it is on the development list at all though.

Re: HOW TO SCORE: Batter Interference

A couple of things to note: A scorer can call interference whatever they want; offensive interference, runner interference, batter interference. The only stat is interference. The important part is getting the interference and putouts correct. So you really can use runner interference and have full ...

Re: Dropped Third Strike/Kicked Ball

There are a couple of ways of handling this. FYI - depending on the rule set used for play, a batter inadvertently kicking the ball in this situation should not be called out for interference unless the ball was up the first base line and the batter had a good chance to see and avoid it. Intentional...

Re: Error on pickoff attempt with no advancement

Pure judgement call. Was the throw early enough to get the runner but required more than ordinary effort on the pitcher's part? Then no error. Those are the types of questions to ask yourself on this type of play.

Re: California Overtime

There is no way to add an out. However, after two outs, select, 'Misc | End Inning'. This is the normal procedure for handling this situation.

Re: HOW TO SCORE: Batter Interference

'In Play' , 'Fielder's Choice', Select where the ball went, then when it asks what happened with the batter, select 'Out' at the the top. Then 'Hit by Ball'. It will ask who was the closest fielder. That fielder is the one credited with the put out. So select the catcher in this case. Offensive inte...

Re: Error or Hit...

I agree with OhioTex. From your description, there is no physical misplay of the ball. This is a hit all the way. A fielder can sit back and wait and wait and wait for a very slow roller to reach them and it is still a hit.

Re: How to score hit by batted ball?

Yes you scored it correctly. The batter is given a fielder's choice by rule. The closest fielder to the runner is credited with a put out.
